At 1 pm April 20 we’re talking about R&D tax incentives, new case law on funded projects and the impacts on the gaming industry, plus the best ways to monetize. The Research & Experimentation Tax Credit provides a credit against federal taxes to encourage new (or improve existing) functionality, performance, reliability, or quality for technological products, including games. While of limited value for sole practitioners, studios that devote significant resources (especially salary) to new functionality may benefit. It is also an important credit to consider when expanding a studio.

CTA is also offering GGDA members complimentary consultation of all eligible tax credits and incentives, as well as a complimentary project assessment of tax credits (including an estimate of credits).
