Music, sound effects, voice acting, and even interface noises are a key part of every game. How do yours compare? Bring your demo reel to our annual game audio shootout and let the experts tell you! Our judges have decades of experience, and will let you know just how good your work is ... or isn't.

 

Need audio for you game? This is the meeting to find just the right audio engineer, musician or voice talent to take care of your sound needs. Hear from all of them, and stay to talk to the best after the meeting.

 

Our judges include Andrew Lackey, winner of the most presigious game audio award there is, Nick Wells from Rickwood Music, and more.

 

Andrew Lackey is an award-winning sound designer and audio director at Wabi Sabi Sound. His team recently won Audio of the Year and Best Mix for Ori and the Blind Forest from the Game Audio Networking Guild at the 2016 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

 

Lackey's work is also prevalent in game and film projects like The Witness, The Dead Space Trilogy,The Matrix Trilogy, Spore, Bioshock 2, 8 Mile and Treasure Planet. Andrew’s 17 year career began in Hollywood as a sound effects designer for film. Six years later Andrew transitioned video game sound designer with EA in San Francisco. In 2008, Andrew founded Wabi Sabi Sound to provide big studio production values to projects of all sizes.

 

Nick Wells graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta in early 2015 with a degree in Audio Production and immediately began working as a Sound Designer for Rickwood Music. His work includes Smite, Paladins, Brawlhalla, Jetpack Fighter, and Killing Floor 2. He has also worked as a Sound Designer, Composer, and Mixer for the short film Dead Diamonds, Composer for a Save Student Choice PSA, and Sound Designer for Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Trailer. Nick is still new to the game audio world but hopes to continue to the learn from the greats of this industry while creating unique and immersive audio for the projects that he has been given the opportunity to work on.
