July 26, 2015
ATLANTA, GA. (July 28, 2015) – The Georgia Game Developers Association today announced its call for speakers for the ninth annual Southern Interactive Entertainment and Game Expo (www.siegecon.net). SIEGE, Oct. 9 - 11 in Atlanta, is the largest professional game development conference in the South, with tracks on game design, programming, art, audio, business, and serious games.
“SIEGE has attracted some of the seminal leaders in the game industry,” said conference director Andrew Greenberg. “From Atari founder Nolan Bushnell to EA Chief Creative Director Richard Hilleman to Games for Health innovator Ben Sawyer and more, the Expo has always brought some of the most innovative thinkers in games to share their experiences.”
This year’s speaker list already includes renowned game designer Warren Spector, Tripwire Interactive vice president Alan Wilson, SMITE senior gameplay programmer Mick Larkins, EA Sports audio director Jesse James Allen, Red 5 Studios UI expert Ashleigh Amrine, and more.
Those looking to join this lineup of speakers can apply at http://www.siegecon.net/register/speaker or email speakers@siegecon.net. The SIEGE programming committee contacts chosen speakers by Sept. 9.
“SIEGE hosts a variety of sessions, including presentations, panels, workshops and roundtables,” said Greenberg. “We always appreciate speakers who also submit great session ideas, but we are often delighted with how they share ideas with other speakers on their panels.”
Taking place in Atlanta, GA, SIEGE is the largest professional game development conference in the Southern United States. Since 2007, SIEGE has featured leading figures from the industry and has hosted panels reflecting a wide spectrum of the game production industry including artists, programmers, designers, investors, writers, teachers and business executives. The event also showcases a College Fair for high school students and a Game Studio Investment Conference.
